The Red River delta in Vietnam has been best known for its handicraft villages and traditional seasonal festivals. This tour brings you an unique opportunity to see the real rural life of Vietnamese peasants living in these handicraft villages. BAT TRANG – the pottery village: You are picked up at your hotel and transferred to the riverside village of Bat Trang village - the famous village is situated approx 15 Kms outside Hanoi. This is also the place where you will see the distinctive ceramics that are made and used throughout the delta region for almost 500 years. Many of the families producing these fine works of art have been doing so for at least 400 year.
We stroll around various cottage industries and watch craftsmen forming, painting and glazing their products in traditional ways.
Have lunch in a local restaurant
VAN PHUC - the silk village: You are transferred from Bat Trang to Van Phuc village. This is a great place to see the cloth produced on the loom. There is a showroom where you can buy silk by the meter. You can also buy the silk products in the shops.
The trip is finished at 16h00 and you are dropped at your hotel.
